WHAT THE DIFFERENT SOLAR STRUCTURES?

A smooth functionality of Solar System not only requires good quality inverters and panels, but also requires a strong and a well-designed structure. A mounting system provides a proper structure needed for sustaining the solar panels and in most cases also impacts the temperature levels for the panels. While keeping in mind the different requirements of customers, Pantera Energy offers a set of structures, based on the suitability of your site.

STANDARD ROOF MOUNTED

 A standard roof mounted solar structure uses two types of build material, “Aluminum” and “Hot Dipped Galvanized”. Both materials require the same amount of space for installation which is 500 ft2 / 5 kW at a tilt angle of 17-20 Degrees. The aspects which set the two materials apart is coating and life span. Standard structure with Aluminum build material has anodized coating and a life span of up to 15 years, whereas a Hot Dipped Galvanized build material has 110 microns coating and a life span of up to 10 years. The price rating for standard roof mounted structure with aluminum build is 7/10, and Hot Dipped Galvanized is 6/10.

Advantages: Standard Roof mounted structure, is less costly and a larger tilt area also makes the production better. Moreover, there are multiple frame configurations and easy cleaning.

Disadvantages: While Standard Roof mounted structure has a set of advantages, it also has a few disadvantages, therefore, a standard structure offers less PV potential and can be effected due to encumbrances, along with this, a standard structure requires a rooftop space.

CUSTOMIZED ROOF MOUNTED

A customized Roof Mounted structure uses two build materials, Aluminum and MS Girdar which require 280 Ft2/ 5KW space and is installed at a tilt angle of 3-5 Degrees. A customized roof mounted structure with Hot Dipped Galvanized build material has 110 microns coating and a life span of up to 10 years. Similarly, a customized structure with MS Girdar build material has paint coating with a life span of up to 5 years. The price rating for customized roof mounted structure with Hot Dipped Galvanized build material is 8.5/10 and for MS Girdar is 7.5/10.

Advantages: Customized Roof Mounted structure offers more PV Potential in lesser space, and also provides sheltered/Shaded Area. Similarly, it is aesthetically pleasing and bypasses all the encumbrances.

Disadvantages: A customized Roof Mounted structure is expensive in cost, and has lesser production due to low tilt angle and limited frame. Moreover, it is difficult to clean.

CAR PORT STRUCTURE

A Car Port Structure uses Hot Dipped Galvanized build material and requires a 280 Ft2/5kw space with a 3-5 Degree tilt angle. The coating used for car port structure is 110 microns and has a life span of up to 10 years.  

Advantages: Customized Roof Mounted structure offers more PV Potential in lesser space, and also provides sheltered/Shaded Area. Similarly, it is aesthetically pleasing and bypasses all the encumbrances. Also makes car parking more usable.

Disadvantages: A customized Roof Mounted structure is expensive in cost, and has lesser production due to low tilt angle and limited frame. Moreover, it is difficult to clean.

PED SHEDs

PED Sheds uses Aluminum build material with a 280ft2/ 5KW Space and a tilt angle of 3-5 degrees. The coating used for PED Sheds is anodized and has a life span of up to 15 years.
